Located
in the most isolated capital city in the world,
the Charismatic Renewal in Perth, Western
Australia, is a rich diversity of the charismatic
lifestyle.
This ranges from parish based Prayer Groups,
to various Covenant Communities, Communities and
Organisations. Each have their own mission and
charism that contributes to the spiritual life and
renewal of the Church in Western Australia.
This
diversity is expressed through, and brought
together at the State Service Committee
(SSC) level. This committee comprises
representatives from: The Disciples Of Jesus
Covenant Community, The Holy Spirit of Freedom
Community, Flame Ministries International and the
CCR Parish-Based Prayer Groups from around the
State.
The
State Service Committee under auspices of the
Archbishop, exists as a "service" body rather than
an "authoritative" body for the growth of the
Charismatic Renewal in Western Australia. The
Chairperson of the State Service Committee
represents Western Australia on the National
Service Committee (NSC).

Some
important events are coming up to share
with members and
friends:
Prophetic
Gift Workshop
–
to be held at the Hilton Prayer Meeting on
Monday, 23rd August. The evening commences
with Prayer & Praise at 7.00pm and
concludes around 9.00pm. This workshop
looks at the theory of prophecy, the
Church teaching and Scriptural basis for
prophecy, and devotes time to actually
praying over others to hear God’s
Word for individuals and the assembly.
There is no charge for the evening though
the usual prayer meeting collection will
be taken up. I look forward to seeing you
there.
Prayer
& Praise Workshop
–
to be held at 22 Tain St, Applecross, on
Saturday, 18th September, from 10.00am
‘til 4.00pm. Please bring a meal to
share for lunch. This workshop will cover
much of the theory of Prayer & Praise
with some practical do’s and
don’ts. There will also be
opportunity for some people to practice
what we learn. People involved in leading
P & P, and those in Music Ministry
should especially attend. A charge of $5
will apply to cover some costs. We can
accommodate probably not more than 30
people so please let me know by return
