in its 18th year, the 2008 annual Flame Congress in
January will focus on faith empowerment and vision
to equip God's people with the courage to overcome
their personal giants as well as those coming
against living a dynamic life as Christian in a
world turned against it.
Although a congress for all ages, it will have an
emphasis on youth, especially those attending WYD
in Sydney - After the successful launch of their

The Freedom Album at the 2007 congress, Flame Music Ministry
(FMM) will feature at the opening night with a powerful
presentation aimed at the youth of Perth with an
energy-driven rally called, Let God Arise - His Enemies
be Scattered. - FMM will provide the music throughout
the congress weekend.

Archbishop
Hickey has been a strong supporter of FMI's
congresses for around 16 years. He attends as a
preacher in his own right rather than as someone
attending to open and bless an event.

- No one present will forget his impromptu rendition of an
old Negro spiritual at our King of Kings Congress that drew
students to the congress from the UWA campus.
Last January, inspired by the topic and the subject-matter
of Derek Williams, he spoke of Jesus as the New Moses. A
humble man, Archbishop Hickey stepped forward at the
congress with the rest of the people for an altar call to be
empowered by the Holy Spirit. Such is the caliber of this
Archbishop.
Archbishop Hickey will preach on Friday January 18th. His
message will be,

Last
January, keynote speaker Derek Williams FMI from
England wowed the congress with his insight of
God's self revelation as beginning with fire and a
visual journey through the Hebrew Tabernacle to the
Holy of Holies. By popular request Derek will be a
keynote speaker at the 2008 congress.
"The only true way to RISE is to stand on
something solid - Born of the Word and standing on
the Word – Let God arise and his enemies be
scattered is God doing the rising and

scattering is the consequence! - We just have to
sound a loud trumpet-blast to wake up the Joshua

Derek emphasizes that people need to have a change in their
way of thinking to overcome their giants.
"Too many Christians are defeatist in their thinking;
‘If only…….’, and ‘why doesn’t
my parish wake up…’ And so I spend a good amount
of time these days telling them to think of conquest and the
realization that we are more than conquerors! - We need to
change our way of thinking if we are to win this battle. I
like football. Several teams who go to play against
Manchester United tend to say, ‘We have to focus on
winning, if we go there believing we will lose then the
battle has already been lost.' - But sadly, this is the way
many Catholics think; 'Why evangelize? Nobody’s going
to come to our church anyway' - I believe it is time to
challenge these thought processes and this congress is a
great opportunity for everyone to do just that."
Derek
has preached many conferences, seminars and retreats
throughout England, Portugal, and last January, in Perth,
Australia.

KALDAHL, MIAMI,
USA
Scott
is a professional Cantor and Praise Leader at the
St. Louis Catholic Church, Pinecrest, Miami FL. His
amazing singing talent has taken him all over the
USA. Scott's burn is to see people released in the
power of worship and so his life is dedicated to
this gift. He is the director and an announcer of
Radio Peace, Miami.
Last January Scott suffered a bad throat and could
not

at the congress and so hope we can experience his talent of
music this time.
Not known for preaching, Scott's powerful messages such as
calling us to be as bold as lions was as good as any top
preacher in the world and the congress delegates witnessed
to that in their display of appreciation. By popular

day sessions - His subjects will cover; Be Strong and of
Good Courage (Joshua 1) - Behold, I Make All Things
New (Rev 21:5) about the NEW things that God wants to

TRUMPET CALL FOR A JOSHUA
GENERATION:
THE
VISION AND JOSHUA CHARACTERISTICS.
Joshua, Son of Nun, took up the mantle of leadership of
the Israelites at time of Moses death. Joshua was a strong
and courageous young leader who led God's people fearlessly
into the Promised Land. - "Now Joshua son of Nun was full of
the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him.
So the people of Israel obeyed him and did everything just
as the LORD had commanded Moses." Deuteronomy 34:9.
The Awesome God Congress last January was very powerful and
we did experience a special moment of God's manifest
presence that struck the people with awe. It seems clearer
now that Arise is a flow-on with evolving
revelation.
The
Arising of a Joshua Generation is the key and propels us
into the future with power.
Flowing
from this congress, given that we can also raise the vision
of WYD Perth as well CYM along with those going to WYD, an
ongoing global event is possible in the aftermath of WYD's
empowering in the Sprit.
The
Joshua Generation ARE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE, AGE GROUPS AND
GENDER and have a natural mantle of leadership deep within
their character and have a natural desire to go and make
disciples of all nations. They are aware that the mantle

have Generation X (GenX). We have the Y-Generation. But what
is the J-Gen?

J-Generation rises to redeem XYZ!

is a concept connected to and flowing from the Congress; The

WYD that will stimulate interest and conversation further
spreading the J-Generation

are youth (and people of all age groups)
everywhere already showing the above characteristics, but
as yet do not have a name for

Once
listed and named, all Christians with these active qualities
will identify and unify becoming a spiritual army in all
spheres; they are a new generation overcoming the giants
of the anti-Christian spirit prevailing today; we are
talking about the reapers of the last
harvest.

WILLIAMS FMI
I
have been praying about sessions for the Congress and one
that I would like to develop further is the teaching I did
last year on the latter day rain CCR as a tithe/first
fruit.
I believe it is important to help Christians to understand,
or gain a perception of what God is going to do and it all
ties in with Word, Rain, Fire, Revival/Harvest; all the
signs are there.
Are you ready for the coming revival? What is God
doing next? What has been prophesied? Do we have signs of it
now? Flame Ministries International is well-placed to move
with the revival, why? Are you?
God is communicating very clearly what the revival will be,
how it will manifest, how we go with it, and the impact it
will have. Even Pope Benedict XVI has been raising awareness
of this revival.
This session will prepare you, the people of God, for the
move of God. God does not want, nor does he need, to keep
secrets. He is a God of revelation and he reveals his plans
to his people, but we need ears to hear that message.
Deuteronomy 32:1 Give ear, O heavens, while I speak; let the
earth hearken to the words of my mouth. This session will
bring our understanding of the Baptism of fire to
completion.
For me this will be the most important session I can teach
at the Congress and my only prayer is that the people who
are gathered will have hearts open to God as I teach what
God has revealed to me.

it. If they are like last year I believe they will be good

IS
TIME SPEEDING UP?
EDDIE RUSSELL FMI
People
of all age groups and religions are aware of this and have
spoken about it. However, time has not sped up as
speculated, it is in fact running out; Light is slowing down
and light is what measures time.
This was proposed around 10+ years ago by a couple of
Australian scientist and has impacted on the scientific
world inasmuch that Einstein's Theory of Light as a Constant
is now brought into review.
Einstein's theory of light as a constant is what measures
dating of ancient things and the age of the earth and
universe, and so using a constant, we come up with the
figures in the billions. However, if it is calculated at the
slowing speed as these two physicists propose, it calculates
to around 6,000 -7,000 - the biblical figure of age.
The concept of light slowing is not so hard to grasp as it
appears to show us that things speed up; sand in an egg
timer runs out at a constant until the last few granules
that suddenly speed up and vanish.
In other words, things seem fast because there is not enough
time left to do the things we used to do; it is running out
because the speed of light is slowing down. It could also
answer why people lived longer in OT times.
Information on all this is explained by Dr. Chuck Mezzler of
NASA Aeronautics and Missiles, and given it is true means
that we need to get moving with our evangelization with some
urgency;
We
are in the latter day.

What
happens when light stops? The answer is clear - No life.
8
What
happens when Christ the Light returns and removes His Church
which is the light of the world and the salt that preserves
it leaves? The answer is clear - Darkness.
8
When
the Church is removed there is only sin left - What is the
consequence of sin and its reward? The answer is clear - Sin
is darkness and death its nature - hence, no life because
there is no light left.
8
The
result - In the twinkling of an eye it will all be consumed
and destroyed - The End.
SO
WHAT IS THE ANSWER?
Let
us work while it is still day for the end will come like a
thief in the 'night'.
Let us be as the wise Virgins and not fall asleep in these
busy, time-consuming days that seem to wear us out with
fatigue; it is the last harvest and must be gathered before
the light slows to an end the night falls; Things are always
more urgent at the last minute, and most especially so if we
have left some undone because we slacked during the day.
In these cases, we will not finish the work in time and
Jesus will want to know why I am sure. So let us stay awake
and gather while we can and this is the work of a Joshua
Generation. Awake, Arise!
